As international educators, we have a special opportunity to create an environment where people from various races, cultures, and national backgrounds can come together for a common purpose. One step in accomplishing this is the effort to find the common human core in all people. This core humanity is absent the common identifiers of race, gender, culture, tribe, religion, and national origin. Encouraging and guiding people to develop the ability for true self-reflection at this core human level is a noble effort in my view, and one worth supporting in both word and deed.
